An Atomflo TM atmospheric pressure plasma system combined with an RB benchtop plasma machine robot is ideal for research and development. The plasma source mounts on the gantry robot so that one may scan the reactive gas beam over the substrate at a precise speed and distance.
The three-axis motion system applies plasma only where it is needed. The exposure time of the sample to the reactive gas beam is controlled to within a fraction of a second. Robots may be selected with treatment areas ranging from 200 by 200 to 500 by 500 mm.
